| History | Weigela ‘MonRigney’ originated from a breeding program by renown plant hunter & hybridizer Ken Rigney in Southampton, England. Given several seedlings from a mother plant in the program, Monrovia trialed and made this selection for its remarkably brilliant foliage and high sun tolerance. No firm i.d. has been placed on the plant, but has been noted that it resembles, yet is improved over Weigela ‘Rubidor’. |
