| History | G. x ‘Butterscotch Baby’ is a garden hybrid discovered in the xeric garden Jeff Thompson, acclaimed cactus expert, in the American southwest, and was introduced by High Country Gardens. |
| Lore | Gazanias, native to South Africa, thrive in the southwestern United States, with its poor soil and dry, hot climates, adapting well to coastal conditions and thriving on sandy slopes and in xeric landscapes. Gazanias will cross pollinate and hybridize readily when multiple cultivars are present within an area, which has led to numerous color variations that dazzle the landscape. |
