| History | A breakthrough in breeding from Syngenta, the Kirigami™ series of Aquilegia can be “programmed” for bloom, based on warming temperatures, resulting in early spring blooms that continue to provide color with a wider flowering range compared to other varieties. The ability to force the bloom is a great asset for cut flower arrangements and special occasions, and the tolerance for warmer temperatures (fewer chill hours) benefits gardeners in warmer climates where other varieties of Aquilegia may not perform as well as they might in cooler northern regions. |
