| Design Ideas | This rugged little fellow promises to perform even where the climate is on the warm side for most Rhododendron. An excellent foundation shrub that won’t exceed five feet tall; a natural for covering up unsightly stemwalls, footings and utilities. Ideal as a natural barrier hedge in front yards. Good choice for fence lines. Also works well planted singly or in groups in larger planters. Adds life to otherwise dull evergreen plantings and thrives in the acid soils under high-canopied conifers. |

| Care Instructions | Provide organically rich, well-drained, acidic soil. Apply a thick layer of mulch to keep roots cool, avoiding the crown. Avoid harsh afternoon sun exposures and shelter from drying winter winds. Water deeply, regularly in the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Apply an acid fertilizer after bloom. |
