| Description | A naturally occurring hybrid from the Uncompaghre Plateau in Colorado. Very cold hardy and drought tolerant, with its bright green leaves holding their color longer into the winter. Small pink flowers in spring are followed by dry red berries in fall. Naturally dense and low-growing, it is a great, well-behaved evergreen shrub for the home landscape. |

| Care Instructions | Naturally adapted to the crumbly, granite-based soil of Colorado. Will not tolerate clay or poor-draining soil. Water deeply, regularly, in the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. In the second year, water deeply less often. Once well established, little watering is needed. |
